Correcting the pH value.
If the acidity in the root environment is between 5 and 6.4 then the pH of your growing environment is OK and you do not have to take any corrective measures. Try to avoid correcting the pH unless it is really necessary. Its more likely to do harm than good; the plant likes its peace and quiet. It is more important to monitor how the acidity changes over a longer period. If the value falls below pH 5 or rises above pH 6.4 then it is advisable to gradually start making adjustments.
Correcting the acidity is most easily done by lowering the acidity of the feeding solution with nitric acid during the growing phase and phosphoric acid during the flowering phase or, as the case may be, to raise it with caustic potash, potassium bicarbonate or soda[8] and CANNA RHIZOTONIC. Ensure that the pH in the solution that is used does not fall too far below 5.0. When growing in rock wool the fibres will be harmed causing a lot of alkaline material to be released at very low pH values. In addition, the pH is more difficult to control due to the absence of bicarbonate.
A high pH in the root environment can also be caused by bicarbonate that has built up. To remedy this maintain 20% drainage or rinse through with a more acid solution.

What is foliar feeding and why should I do it?
Foliar feeding is the technique of applying a liquid fertiliser directly to the leaves of plants where the nutrients are taken into the plant leaves through the stomata and epidermis. The benefit of foliar feeding is the nutrient can be absorbed directly into the plant where growth is occurring. The plant reacts quicker than feeding through the roots, which aids in stress recovery It is best to apply during the beginning or end of the daytime period when the environment is not too hot (around 24ºC is ideal). The nutrients used must be in a form that is readily available to the plants.
The first 2 or 3 times that you use RHIZOTONIC we recommend you to add it to the feeding water in the ratio of 1:250 or spray it on the leaves.

User Instructions
- Shake bottle well before use
- Dissolve 40 ml concentrate per 10 litre of water (1:250)
- Spray the cultivation medium 1-6 times daily. Spray directly on the leaves until a strong root system has developed
- When re-potting, one should pre-treat the growing medium with this solution
- Set the pH of the nutrient reservoir after adding RHIZOTONIC as it will slightly increase the pH
